2023 Second Installment Property Tax Bills In Cook County To Be Issued Timely

Published on: April 17, 2023 | Categorized as: MBH, P.C. News

For the past few years, the second installment property tax bills have been delayed.  The 2022 second installment property tax bills were due on December 1, 2023 and the 2021 second installment property tax bills were due on December 30, 2022.  Typically, and for about a decade prior, the second installment property tax bills in Cook County were due on August 1st.  The recent delays were due in part to the COVID-19 Pandemic but also because an integral party in the property tax assessment process in Cook County failed to properly implement new technologies which resulted in significant delays.  For the 2023 tax year, it is anticipated that the second installment tax bills will be posted online at the end of June and mailed out around the same time.  The due date is expected to be August 1st again.
